Help me fight fifa style ruling body
I really need your help. My first passion is west ham, my second is greyhound racing, many great nights down the years when Ive combined both. Born in forest gate hostpital lived in canning town until i was 16 before moving to essex, went to school with paul brush, alan curbishley and those who may remember pat creasey, bunled off school to travel to mid week matches way from home-
You think FIFA has troubles greyhound racing has similar issues. The 3 big bookmakers control the sport and theres a separate small handful of inner circle people that sit on all the decision making Boards, and they own private tracks themselves.

There used to be over 80 tracks, now its down to 25, and closing at rapid rate. The loyal people supporting the industry get no say and are run over roughshod (sound familiar?) the dog owners and dog trainers have no say in the running of the industry. Grants (free money) for bars and restaurants and tractors (every 3 / 4 years) made from industry funds by the people on decision making bodies in favour of tracks owned by those same people.

Building work, sand for the tracks at exorbitant cost - can be paid for out of grants, as long as you use an approved builder and there has only been one major one last 5 years and that was controlled by grandson of one of the prominent decision makers.. We are asking for a forensic audit of the governing bodies books and records to show where the money has gone, who made the decisions, whether its been done right etc etc

Please take 30 seconds to sign this petition by email address and help to go about saving the industry. Many thanks A lifelong hammers fan

Re: Hel me fight fifa style ruling body
I know almost everyone who attended the protest, to my knowledge none of them do own racehorses.

If you can describe which one you mean i will find out and let you know.

There are a few who own racehorses who are involved in the greyhounds but not that many.

Re: Hel me fight fifa style ruling body
The idea of greyhound racing is not as bad as some may think, but because of the grants to football clubs its not allowed, i used to race dogs at clacton which was around the outside of the pitch of clacton town fc, sittingbourne greyhound track is run by roger cearns, his family member len cearns was west ham chairman len cearns, at sittingbourne greyhound racing used to take place around the outside of the football pitch, there are 6 of us on the committee of the greyhound trainers association, myself ,ricky holloway(plaistow) and linda jones(canning town) are all west ham, years ago i was part opf a group that were very near to getting a greyhound track around the outside of braintree town fc, the majority of trainers and owners of greyhounds are football fans, both were working class sports although both have now become more expensive, ive stood at greyhound tracks with ex player and now agent barry silkman many times, the 2 sports do have many supporters of both sports, anyone who has looked at the video, the guy who loses the plot about 4 minutes into the video is brother of ex sheffield legend terry curran, the guy holding up the gbgb = fifa banner was good mates with wally downes, thanks for those who sign the petition and please get anyone else you know to sign it.

Cracking idea! Make use of the running track at the OS and have dogs running round it during home games!

WIN WIN!

Re: Hel me fight fifa style ruling body
As a kid my dad would take me to west ham, hackney and wlthamstow, my aunts family had the seafood stall in prince regents lane, i lived in ling road, we would walk to west ham track across the newham way, the mob running greyhound racing threatened me with legal action 2 years ago because people were posting that they were corrupt, so i stood down as admin andsomeone else who remains anonymos sepedd in to proect me, funny thing now is that what was posted has been proved to correct, last month we turned up at headquarters on tthe day of their board meeting with me acting as a roving reporter ask decs questions, most ignored us but one bew a fuse when someone mentioned goit piison, alled usall , watch the video, look at the banners, im the fella with the shaved head and the mike in hand - link to the video https://youtu.be/1wH-6LVzpGA

I got chatting to a couple of blokes in a casino in Cardiff years ago. They were in to dog racing.
From what they told me, the trainers are just as bent as anyone else.
